Loot Distribution Guidelines
Loot Council
Introduction – Wait List will adopt the Loot Council method for our overall loot distribution. The Class Officers/Commanders (aka Loot Council) managed a whole party with several members. When a new item became available, the Loot Council will decide which party member would profit most, and give the item to them.
THE OVERALL PROGRESS IS THE PRIMARY GOAL IN RAIDING.
Role and Responsibilities – Loot Council will oversee the distribution of loot to give a higher emphasis on the success of the raid as a whole over the selfish interests of individual raid members. The members on the Loot Council know what is best for the guild/raid and can give loot to where it is most needed or deserved.
The Loot Council will restrict items by class and/or talent build.
Categories to limit loot to certain classes/builds are:
• Tank (protection warrior or paladin, feral/bear druid)
• Melee DPS (arms or fury warrior, rogue, enhancement shaman, cat druid, ret paladin)
• Range DPS (hunters-despite not being a hybrid class in the true sense of the word)
• Spell DPS (mage, warlock, shadow priest, elemental shaman, moonkin druid)
• Healer (holy priest or paladin, resto shaman, resto/tree druid)
Hybrid Classes – Loot Council will know the build of their class, so they will judge into which category the raider belongs to. To keep usefulness towards the raid goals in mind, hybrid classes and hunters will be watched very closely, to avoid loot whoring.
Main Tank – The main tank(s) are a class of their own. Since the raid's main tank is extremely important, they will be given precedence on any tanking gear they need.
Higher Rank Members – These are your Commanders/Class Officers, Overlords, and most importantly the Guild Master (aka Holybeam). They will always have precedence over any loot item(s) that is need for their respective spec. Get to know your higher rank members!
Raid Attendance – Wait List members who are looking for a spot as “core” raiders should have an attendance rate of 50% a raid week (2-3 raids per week). Should you drop below 50%, then you will be considered a casual raider. This will give you secondary preference for loot behind the core raid members.
Raid Looting – Typically a raid member will receive one epic loot per raid except under specific circumstances (don’t expect to get your new weapon and leggings in a single raid).
Alternate Character (Alts) – Many of us have more than one level 70 characters. Some of us play whichever character is "needed" for a raid. Your main is the character that you were initially invited into the guild with. You must be a member (or higher rank) to receive loot on an alternate character. Only one alternate per main will be eligible for loot. Loot between off-spec and alt will be rolled on in cases of raids such as Karazhan, Zul’Aman, Gruul’s and Magtheridon's Lair. |
